School Infrastructure
Process Adopted:
- Need Identification: Evaluate requirements of a shortlisted school by meeting the management, teachers and visiting the school premises
- Resource Planning: Volunteers alongwith school management perform resource planning – requirement of infrastructure needs, overseeing of the project including construction and related timelines
- Fund Raising:
- Initiate the process to raise funds based on planned budget
- Approach friends, well-wishers with the identified requirement
- Raise funds through individual contribution and seeking CSR fund from corporates
- Contributors can directly supply the requirements or contribute in raising funds and volunteer to involve in the entire process
- Additionally, volunteers manage the project and implement the activities including
- Liaise with authorities to get approvals
- Coordinate for procurement and transportation of the materials
- Overseeing the entire project including finalisation of contractor for the construction, regular visits to the school for inspection of the work under progress
- Periodic inspections to check usage, benefits gained and maintenance of the infrastructure & equipment
